08/09/07 - They say there is nothing new in life and with so many things being remade, be it cars, TV programmes, and even fashion, it is not hard to see some truth in the saying. Now Mid Antrim Motor Club are going back to the future, with a new 'old' sponsor, in the shape of Antrim’s Vauxhall car dealer, Townparks Car Sales.

This year's event will be known as the Townparks Glens of Antrim Stages. When Townparks first sponsored this event, it saw the return of rallying to the forests after an enforced break.

The Townparks Glens of Antrim Stages is to be run on Saturday 3 November and will be the final round of the Pacenotes Northern Ireland Rally Championship. Also included in this event is the Sunoco Fuels Group N and the Superdrive two wheel drive championships.

Proceedings start on the Friday night before the rally with cars being scrutineered at the workshops of Townparks. The rally will start from the Tullyglass Hotel on the Saturday morning before heading into the forest tracks of the Glens for the special stages, with two services, before returning back to Ballymena for the prize giving.
